Happy Easter!

Hello Chamber Members,

Can you believe it is almost Easter? Summer will be here before we know it – and my senses say we are going to have a busy summer here in Stanwood & Camano Island. While we are not hosting a summer event this year we are strategically focusing on supporting the events that are already happening such as the McClinchey Mile, Camano Studio Tour, the Mother’s Day Art Tour and Summer Solstice CelebrationPride Parade and Party in the Park, The Camano Crab DashIf you have an upcoming event you would like for us to promote or sponsor please let us know.

Our April Membership Meeting will be NEXT WEEK-  Thursday 4/21 at 11:30 either in person or on Zoom and the topic is Local Tourism Plans for 2022Local Tourism is a big part of our economy in the local area – but how do we approach tourism responsibly? Speaker Sherrye Wyatt with Whidbey-Camano Island Tourism will unveil the Transformative Destination Travel framework for 2022. This work is exciting and by definition “transformative” for our island life. Sarah Cho withDiscover Stanwood Camano will also provide an update on tourism initiatives led by the City of Stanwood.

For the April Meeting we have the ability to meet IN PERSON at the Camano Center OR via Zoom using our new OWL.  Please complete the registration form and indicate if you plan on attending in person, whether you would like lunch or you will attend on Zoom.  Deadline to RSVP for lunch is tomorrow – Friday 4/15/22.

We are excited to announce our upcoming Member Meetings, Mixers, and events – the schedule is planned from now through the fall.  Printable version here or see more info. below.

We look forward to seeing you and as always please let us know if there is any way The Camano Island Chamber can help you.
