Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax 11am-12pm at the Camano Island Library. Join art teacher Callie Darland as she takes us into the vibrant, whimsical world of Dr Seuss. Artists in this class will explore line and shape to create a vivid landscape of Truffula Trees using oil pastels with watercolor resist technique. More mature artists will begin to recognize atmospheric perspective as they organize their drawings to include foreground, middle ground and background or in Dr. Suess language, here, near, and far. All artists will leave with their own beautiful painting of ‘the bright-colored tufts of the Truffula trees! Mile after mile in the fresh morning breeze!’ All materials are provided but we do have a limited number. To ensure your place, we recommend that you arrive promptly. More info: 360-770-6776.
