Unfortunately 2020 is not the year to plan large scale events – so we have made the difficult decision NOT to have the 2020 event as scheduled. We would like to thank all of our past participating sponsors, businesses and attendees for your support of the Camano Island Chamber and this event for the past 24 years!
Come celebrate the 25th year with us in November 2021.
HOWEVER In recognition of the Chili & Chowder Cook-Off these local restaurants will offer Chili &/or Chowder on Nov. 14th on their menu. Please support these local businesses and enjoy Chili & Chowder in honor of our favorite event.

Remembering Chili Chowder
In tribute to this annual event – here are some fun ways you can celebrate – or just remember the events of the past!
Favorite Chili Recipe from Janet St. Clair
Our very own Island County Commissioner – Janet St. Clair shares her favorite chili recipe and says “This recipe is an old Sunset Magazine recipe from the early 80’s. It is super easy and we used to have this on Christmas Eve because I could cook it in advance and we would come home from church and it would be ready. Later, I converted it to a crock pot recipe which made it even easier. Always served it with salad, which the kids would not eat, and corn bread and honey which the kids did eat…”
