Do you have a child with a disability (all disabilities are valid: physical, developmental, or invisible)? Please join us for the first ever Disability Inclusive Easter Egg hunt.
To make this event more sensory friendly, we ask that you sign up for a time slot for your family so the crowds stay low. Time slots will be every hour and a half, an hour for egg hunting and activities and half an hour for volunteers to reset for the next group. It’s okay if kids stay passed their time to finish an activity.
To sign up for a time slot, please go to https://www.signupgenius.com/…/10C0C49ADAD2BA6F9C16….
All children ages 2-18 are welcome, but not obligated, to participate in a stress-free egg hunt. There will not be any pressure to find eggs quickly. Each child can take their time for egg hunting, it is not a competition. The eggs will be filled with stickers, but we ask that you empty the eggs and return them for future use.
Afterwards, the child(ren) will be able to build a goody bag with the help of their parent and a volunteer. Goodies will be separated into bowls (candy with nuts, nut free chocolate, non-chocolate candy, fruit snacks, granola bars, and sensory toys). If your child has special needs, please reach out to us prior to the event so we can try to accommodate your child (such as items without red dye).
We will have a craft table, cookie decorating, games, and a quiet corner. The quiet corner will have pillows, blankets and books.
While we are focused on kids with disabilities and their families, we welcome the whole community. The whole family is invited.
