Voting for the 2023 Business People of the Year Awards will open on Sept. 18th and close at 5PM on Sept. 30th.  Winners will be announced at our Business People of the Year Awards Luncheon on October 19th.

One vote is allowed per IP address – multiple votes by the same person will be deleted.

Mary Bredereck Stanwood Camano Resource center

Mary works tirelessly as director of the Camano Resource Center. She creates programs that are inclusive to all, a safe space for all ages, and supports our low-income and unstably housed. Noone is ever judged by Mary. 

Amy Bush, Loyalsmith jewelry

Besides creating beautiful jewelry, I nominate Amy because of her remarkable volunteer work in our community. Amy is the Camano Arts Association President. She volunteers countless hours and talents to promoting the Arts and Artists in the Stanwood and Camano communities.

Laura Finsen – Nail Flare LLC

Laura is an amazing woman who opened her business originally when she was a single mom. She is always putting her customers & employees first. She supports the local community & also has taken all the steps to offer a state accredited nail tech apprenticeship program.

Carol Mason- Movement Arts

She has run Movement Art Studio for a few years now. She has continued many of the things that Kara (The previous owner started) but has implemented new things such as online classes, and has continued to grow her community.

Beth has amazing customer service skills and is always thinking about others. Her clients needs always come first.

Michelle has organized and ran Pride for the last 2 years. She has taken initiative to make our community a more inclusive and loving place.

As the owner of The Camano Shop, Melissa creates a great sense of community by hosting events with other local businesses and local residents. Alongside her retail store she also operates a home staging business and co-hosts a podcast on the topic.
