Entrepreneur of the Year
Nicole Gilligan – Cedarhome Coffee Co.
Nicole is deserving of recognition for many reasons: First, Nicole started in this business somewhat by chance. After college while Nicole was figuring out her next steps in life, her side gig at the time had been making coffee at a stand in town. To Nicole this wasn’t even a job, it was fun: she was able to connect with the community all day long, one cup at a time. Her passion for people helped to grow the business (customers would drop by to see her multiple times a day).
Melissa Overbeck – The Camano Shop
I am nominating this person and business because of how well they are to the community as a whole. I’m from out of state and visit every time I come to Camano because they never disappoint and always have the cutest clothing, accessories and home decor for prices people are able to afford! The people who work there are always so kind and have excellent customer service. The variety of styles and sizes are great. They are very reasonably priced for high quality clothing. Highly recommend the Camano shop wins this nomination.
Melissa has been doing a great job with the shop, doubling sales again, and also bringing the community together thru events, hosting other vendors for pop-ups, and donating to local charities.
